Cannock L3s 9 – 0 West Bromwich
   Cannock Ladies Threes faced West Bromwich Ladies today in some very harsh conditions.  With West Bromwich only bringing nine players and their fluctuation in the league, it was up to Cannock to bring the intensity and match pace.  
   In the first 15 minutes, possession for Cannock dominated in West Bromwich’s circle.  However Cannock struggled to reap the rewards of this advantage until a goal came before half time.  
   When half time came around, four goals had been scored by Cannock.  At full time, as Cannock had kept up a high pace despite being tired, the result was 9-0 Lucy Black x 3, Hannah Cole x2, Jenna Martin x2, Pippa Hawkes and Jude Hitchens.

Cannock M3s 2 – 5 Birmingham University
   Cannock Men’s 3s travelled away to the University of Birmingham to take on the second place team in the league.
   As the rain turned to snow it was becoming doubtful whether the game would be played, but the game started and Birmingham took full control from the off. Cannock tried to work their way out of their half but there was no where to go while eventually turning over possession. Soon the first goal came, a free flowing moving from a Uni player allowed a free shot at goal into the bottom corner. 0-1. Within two minutes the next Birmingham goal came, a move down the left saw a reverse strike to the far post with an opposition player unmarked for an easy tap in. 0-2.
   Cannock never really looked to impose a threat going forward and Birmingham continued their barrage of attacks, another strike form the top of the D saw the ball fly high and as the Cannock keeper got a hand to it, the ball fell spinning over the line. 0-3.
   Cannock pressed on and pushed forward, as the weather got worse and the pitch became more even more treacherous. This fell into the hands of Cannock who started to find some avenues of play, a move into the D found a opposition foot. The resultant penalty corner allowed Aaron Wilkes step up and fire the ball home. 1-3. The Uni side struggled in the driving winds and snow, this allowed Cannock to continue their attacks, and once again another penalty corner was awarded, and once again Aaron stepped up to double his tally. 2-3.
   Half time came and the snow was becoming heavier. The pitch virtually white over! It’s was agreed to continue. Cannock started on the front foot and looked to bring the game level once again, but the Uni side up the pressure and once again found their flow, picking holes in the Cannock defence. This allowed more opportunity’s for the young side and their fourth soon came, a shot was initially saved but the second phase ball fell to Uni side who slammed home the strike. 2-4.
   Time was ticking over and as much as Cannock tried to force a comeback, Birmingham were too strong. One last penalty corner allowed the Uni side to finish off their day with one last goal. 2-5. A very difficult day all round for both sides but the Uni side prevailed with a strong and unrelenting performance.
