Cannock L1s 3 - 1 Leicester

Cannock ladies 1s travelled to Leicester on a cold wet late afternoon and made things difficult for themselves against the team at the bottom of the table. Leicester absorbed all of the pressure Cannock put on them for the first 20 mins of the game as Cannock failed to get any outcomes.
However the dead lock was broken when Jodie Beddow found the back of the net with a well taken backhand.  Leicester quickly hit back when Cannock got in a pickle and equalised before the break.
Cannock continued with their determination and fighting spirit to ensure they returned to Cannock with all the points.  Sarah Drayton Chana pushing the ball into the corner of the goal before Sarah Martin finished off the game with her first league goal this season.

Cannock L2s 1 - 3 Rugby

The Ladies 2s welcomed a newly promoted rugby to cannock on a freezing Saturday morning. After the first 10 minutes cannock ladies 2s had already scored their first goal with a beautiful deflection shot from Nic George. Rugby came back stronger and more eager to equalise. Cannock defended well, passing the ball effectively and the defence held up for a while, but the opposition broke through, slipping the ball passed the cannock keeper.  Cannock had some excellent attacking moves again and it looked like they would definitely score a second goal but they couldn’t convert these chances into goals.
Shortly after this the half time whistle blew the score remained 1-1.
Rugby scored their second goal after break out play and confidently into the back of the net. The Game continued to be end to end stuff with the ball regularly entering both of the Ds. Rugby continued to attack strongly and the cannock defence were put under more pressure to find the equaliser. With only minutes to go rugby managed to score another goal.

Cannock M1s 1 - 5 Harborne M1s

Cannock set off to play Harborne away on a wet Saturday.  The game had high expectations with two quality sides competing against each other.  Although the result did not go as hoped, the growing Cannock team continued to show moments of spectacular hockey throughout the game with on example being some great interplay from defence to attack leading to the goal from Callum Swinnerton-Ions.

Unfortuantely other games were cancelled due to frozen pitches.
